Issue/Introduction

This is part of a task to replace another monitoring tool that collects thes types of metrics.

In the cluster probe I did not see anything regarding this point.

Environment

  • Windows OS

Cause

  • Guidance

Resolution

One option is to use the ntevl probe for monitoring of the Cluster server 'System' log

This Microsoft article lists the Failover Clustering events from the Windows Server System log (viewable in Event Viewer). These events all share the event source of FailoverClustering and can be helpful when troubleshooting a cluster.

Applies to: Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Azure Stack HCI, versions 21H2 and 20H2
