Issue/Introduction

SiteMinder upgrade version to R12.8 SP8 errors as below while updating the Federation certificate from the AdminUI.

[ERROR] com.ca.federation.adminui.backingbean.keystore.KeyStoreBean [] - Could not parse the given formattedDate = 
java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date: ""
at java.text.DateFormat.parse(DateFormat.java:366) ~[?:1.8.0_322]
at com.ca.federation.adminui.backingbean.keystore.KeyStoreBean.getDateFromFormattedDateBasedOnTimeZone(KeyStoreBean.java:1188) ~[fedmgr.jar:?]

Environment

Component: CA Siteminder Policy Server AdminUI (SMAUI)
Versions : R12.8 SP7 and R12.8 SP8

Cause

Non English SiteMinder AdminUI is unable to parse the dates and causes the above exceptions.

Resolution

Please reach out to the Broadcom support by raising a support case to get the PATCH/DEVFIX for R12.8 SP7 and R12.8 SP8 versions.
