Support for IBM LinuxONE server with XCOM

Issue/Introduction

Is XCOM supported to run on an IBM LinuxONE server under Red Hat Enterprise Linux or if not are there any plans on the XCOM roadmap to provide this support?

Environment

• IBM LinuxOne
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• XCOM™ Data Transport® for Linux on Mainframe
• Unicenter® CA-XCOM™ Data Transport® File Transfer for Linux OS/390 and zSeries (Previous name)

Resolution

An IBM LinuxONE server has an s390x based Linux architecture: IBM Developer > IBM LinuxONE > Get started with IBM LinuxONE

For the current support of s390x, please see XCOM Information Solution RI82458 ("REDHAT S390 SUPPORT FOR XCOM DATA TRANSPORT FOR LINUX S390").
Currently only up to RHEL 7 s390x is supported for XCOM 11.6.
There is no RHEL s390x support for XCOM 12.0 yet.

There is currently no ETA for XCOM to support RHEL 8 s390x or RHEL 9 s390x.
