Endpoint Protection for Mac continues to ask for Full Disk Access on macOS 14.x "Sonoma"

Issue/Introduction

Among other macOS permissions required by SEP/SES for Mac (Symantec Endpoint Protection / Endpoint Security), Full Disk Access is requested. After granting it, on macOS 14.x "Sonoma" you may see repeated request for Full Disk Access after OS is restarted.

Cause

This symptom is caused by an Apple issue and should be resolved in macOS version 14.2

Resolution

Macs using Mobile Device Administration (MDM) to apply pre-approval for macOS permissions should not be affected.

Otherwise, upgrade to macOS version 14.2 or newer.
