Issue/Introduction

I would like to add a CCINAME to an existing SYSNAMES entry and activate that without cycling the Sysview address space.

Is this possible?

Environment

SYSVIEW: R17.0

Resolution

After making the required updates to the SYSNAMES PARMLIB member:

From Primary MENU.
- ADMIN
- LIBCACHE
- RELOAD SYSNAMES from the (TYPE) PARMLIB section

Need to do this on each LPAR.

Note: Many other PARMLIB members can be refreshed with the same process.

Additional Information

 To reload the SYSNAMES member you can also:

• • restart the XSSS subsystem
    
    • /F SYSVUSER,STOP XSSS
    • /F SYSVUSER,START XSSS

This process will also reload the SYSNAMES PARMLIB member.
