Duplicate GUIDs for computers running the Symantec Management Agent after creating an image for Virtual Machines

Issue/Introduction

A Dell utility was used to create an image for several Virtual Machines. This caused all of the machines to have duplicate GUIDs

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

SYSPREP had not been run on the image.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by running the following to SYSPREP command on the image intended for the Virtual Machines (VM):

sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /shutdown /mode:vm
