Issue/Introduction

With ITMS 8.7.1 we are no longer able to delete computers from the Parent.  What has changed?

Environment

8.7.1 and later versions

Cause

A bug in previous versions allowed replicated items to be deleted under certain circumstances.

Resolution

The new methodology is that Resources can only be deleted from where they originate.  Software can only be deleted on the Parent (and ITMS 8.7.1 does a better job of cleaning this up on the Child SMPs), and Computers can only be deleted from the Child's SMPs.  These changes are replicated to their destination SMPs using the normal replication schedule.
