Report generated daily for "Client Inventory Details" and some computers do not appear in the list. Why do reports contain a different number of computers from one day to the next. Does the report only include computers that communicated in the last 24 hours?
A report will only include computers that reported data in the specified period. If a computer was off or not on VPN, for example, that computer would not have sent data to be included in the 24-hour default window. Typically to see a larger view with more results, include a longer time window.
Comparing the different reports can reveal when computers are offline.
To validate, find computers that are on and reporting that do not show in a the report. If computers are found in this state, there might be an issue with the report, but otherwise the computers are not sending data during the given timeframe.
