Issue/Introduction

APM 10.8 .x version

When  using the webstart workstation  (workstation.jnlp)  it is showing the java version is 11

Where as if we install the standalong workstation (CA-Introscope-Workstation-Installer-for <OS>) downloaded from broadcom support portal

it showing the java version as 1.8.

Why is  such diffrence in Java version of similar component ?

Environment

APM 10.8  sp1

Resolution

Standalone workstation and jnlp/ webstart  workstation are different so they can use different jvm versions.

Basically stand alone come with packaged jre ,where as jnlp workstation uses jvm installed on the machine
