Issue/Introduction

Variable-based dynamic container assignment is a specialized feature currently restricted to the Active Directory connector. This functionality is not available for the custom JNDI connector or other connector types within Identity Manager.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5 & 15

Cause

The dynamic container assignment feature is an enhancement developed specifically for the Active Directory connector architecture. It has not been implemented for the JNDI connector framework.

Resolution

To place users into specific containers using a custom JNDI connector, you must create distinct account templates for each target container. Assign the appropriate template to users based on their requirements, as dynamic assignment via variables is not supported.
