View DIM Payload displays an unreadable message body

Issue/Introduction

Upon clicking the View DIM Payload button in the Information Centric Analytics (ICA) console for a network (SMTP) incident, all incident attributes are displayed properly except for the e-mail message body. The headers are intact and readable, but the message text is displayed as a large block of MIME-encoded text.

Environment

Version : ICA 6.x
               DLP 16.x

Component : Symantec DLP Integration Pack

Resolution

To workaround this issue, configure the DLP data source connection to use the SOAP API rather than the REST API.

A hotfix has been released to address this issue. ICA 6.6 MP1 HF2 is available for download from the Broadcom support portal.
