DX NetOps Spectrum, Performance Management, NFA and VNA deployed
In the initial phase to deploy DX OI and would like to know is there any sizing guideline or utility available (similar to DX NetOps)
i.e share sizing for both scenarios one for OI- Spectrum integration and other for OI – Spectrum and CAPM
DX 23.3.x
We don't have any calculator for exact sizing calculations for different scenarios but we have typical Small/Medium/Large type sizing which can be used as reference:
If sending only alarm data from Spectrum small size can be used:
- 2 nodes with 24 cores, 128 GB Memory and 200 GB HDD Each
- 1 TB NFS SSD Storage
If sending alarms and metrics from CAPM also medium size can be used:
- 5 nodes with 16 Cores, 96 GB RAM, and 200 GB HDD disk
- 2 TB NFS SSD Storage
Please note that HA/redundancy is not enabled for the small deployment option in the installer. For medium deployment option HA and redundancy is enabled for key services by default (kafka, elasticsearch). If we require full HA support additional 1-2 nodes should be added for failover support.
Sizing with HA support (for alarms only data) with one redundant node:
- 4 nodes with 16 cores, 96 GB Memory and 200 GB HDD Each
- 1 TB NFS SSD Storage
Sizing with HA support (for alarms and metrics data) with one redundant node:
- 6 nodes with 16 Cores, 96 GB RAM, and 200 GB HDD disk
- 2 TB NFS SSD Storage
In all the above scenarios separate k8s master node is required: Kubernetes master node with 8 CPU Cores, 16 GB RAM, and 200GB disk
