Resolution

If you want to change the password and username for EEM, you can do that from the EEM portal/admin UI, but then you need to update this for SOI in the following file in the catalyst server :

C:\CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\registry\topology\physical\hostname_CatalystConnector\security\jaas-config.properties

The password that you paste in the file needs to be encrypted, you can use encrypter.bat tool:

1. Use the encrypter.bat file from CA\SOI\Tools\CatalystEncrypt in the SOI manager machine to generate a new password

2. In cmd, change the directory to CA\SOI\Tools\CatalystEncrypt and run the following command:

encrypter <password>

3. An encrypted password is generated. Now, use this encrypted password to update the "password" field in the following file:

C:\CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\registry\topology\physical\hostname_CatalystConnector\security\jaas-config.properties

4. Restart SOI / EEM services/
