controller appears to be launching multiple copies of some probes

Issue/Introduction

I have noticed that the controller is launching multiple instances of a probe.

This has been seen with the following probes but could be seen with others not listed here:

sql_response
processes
jdbc_response
sqlserver

 

Environment

windows and linux robots 9.38 and prior

Resolution

After upgrading the robot to 9.40 and setting "local_ip_validation = yes" in the robot.cfg this problem did not occur again in the environment where it was observed.
