NetApp filer generates errors when attempting to communicate with Protection Engine

Issue/Introduction

A NetApp filer is generating errors similar to the following when attempting to communicate with the Symantec Protection Engine(SPE).

11/7/2023 22:55:17  <username>     ERROR         secd.kerberos.preauth: A Kerberos pre-authentication failure occurred for SVM "ServerName" due to invalid credentials for [email protected].

11/7/2023 23:00:06  <username>     ALERT         security.invalid.login: Failed to authenticate login attempt to Vserver: ServerName, username: user\example, application: http.

Environment

9.0.1, 9.1

Cause

A cause for this issue was not identified.

Resolution

Reboot the SPE.  If this does not resolve the issue, open a case with support for assistance.
