cafagent cannot be started.

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) is installed on a Linux system successfully. However, later it is noticed that the cafagent failed to start.
status.sh shows "not running."

Error in cafagent.log:

[|] 2023-11-08 00:18:45 | Application | Error | 3347 : XMLCannotCreateDocException
[|] 2023-11-08 00:18:45 | Application | Information | 3347 : Symantec CAF service stopped.

Error in cve.log:

[WARN ] Unable to parse XML stream.

Cause

XML parser is not functioning correctly.

Resolution

Re-install SEP so that the XML file can be loaded correctly.
