Automic IICS job returns Task Type is not valid

Issue/Introduction

Testing a new installation of the IICS agent by running a JOB with the task type in Run Task Job Parameters selected as Workflow (Linear Taskflow)

The error in the job report shows:

                                                                            ERROR: Task type is not valid

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Start of Runtime Exception ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

com.automic.agent.iics.exception.JobFailedException: Task type not valid

 

The agent logs (normal and trace) only show that the job ends with return code 2, but no additional information.

Cause

This is due to a defect that did not allow for the task type of linear workflow.

Resolution

This has been resolved with IICS version 21.0.3 which is available in the marketplace
