CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Issue/Introduction

Trying to shutdown seosd is not possible, appears a message saying 'Shutting down seosd is not allowed because there is another system call intercepting product started after CA Privileged Access Manager Server Control'

Environment

PAMSC 14.1 linux

Cause

Usually the reason of this message is because another application has been started after seosd, and then it does not allow it to stop. Seosd must be the last application starting up.

Resolution

There is a new kernel fix that gives more information regarding this matter.

This fix will be delivered in the next PAMSC 14.1 cp06.

There is a fix from Sustaining Engineering that can be applied over cp05 : acpatch-DE555167-14.10.50.122-_LINUX_X64.zip

You can ask support to request this patch if needed.
