Issue/Introduction

Workstation is timing out when trying to connect to EM.

Environment

APM 10.8

Cause

Port not open in Firewall

In the IntroscopeWorkstation.log the following message is display

Failed to connect to EM using HTTP
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

Resolution

Problem was cause by Firewall between Workstation Server and EM.

Once require port 5001 was open in the firewall workstation was able to connect to EM.
