What does it mean? Is it related to a transaction abend?

Resolution

TRANEND means that it was the threshold processing that occurred when the transaction ended, as opposed to TRANDYN that occurs on an interval while the transaction is still executing.

When it ended, SYSVIEW realizes that at some point the transaction had abended, and you have a threshold defined for that, i.e. CICS_TRAN_Abends threshold.

CICS_TRAN_Abends monitors number of abends while transactions are executing. TRANDYN processing occurs on the TRAN-THRESHOLDS interval from CSCHEDUL. TRANEND processing occurs when transaction ends.

Typically, if a transaction abends it ends right away, so you don't normally see a TRANDYN for abends unless the transaction would continue running long enough for the TRAN-THRESHOLDS interval to happen.
