Export communication profile failed with invalid base-64 error

Issue/Introduction

SMP 8.7, it failed when trying to export the NS communication file,

 

The SMP log shows error,

"The input is not a valid Base-64 string as it contains a non-base 64 character, more than two padding characters, or an illegal character among the padding characters. "

...

"Invalid length for a Base-64 char array or string."

Environment

Release : 8.7.1

Cause

The problem only occurs when using IE explorer.

 

Resolution

IE is not supported on SMP 8.7 as per document,

So, access Altiris console using Chrome, or Edge, to export the communication profile.
