Export communication profile failed with invalid base-64 error

Issue/Introduction

SMP 8.7 failed when trying to export the NS Communication Profile and the SMP log shows the following:

"The input is not a valid Base-64 string as it contains a non-base 64 character, more than two padding characters, or an illegal character among the padding characters. "

"Invalid length for a Base-64 char array or string."

Environment

ITMS 8.7.1

Cause

The problem only occurs when using IE explorer.

 

Resolution

IE is not supported on SMP 8.7 as per the following ITMS documentation:

Console/Browser

Per the above documentation it is recommended to use the SMP Console using Chrome or Edge to export the Communication Profile.
