Issue/Introduction

DX Netops Spectrum reports in CABI fail with error after restarting tomcat service at Oneclick (SRM) side.

In some cases, it was noticed that after restarting the tomcat service in OC (SRM) machine, the reports in CABI fail with errors.

In order to solve the problem, customers need to execute the steps mentioned in the DX Netops Spectrum reports in CABI fail with error after upgrading CABI to 7.9.x KB article.

However the problem can happen again if the same tomcat service is restarted.

Environment

Spectrum 22.2.10 or higher

CABI 7.9.2.x

Resolution

The following workaround can be used:

  1. Before stopping tomcat, stop all the CABI services ($CABIROOT/stopServers.sh)
  2. Once CABI is fully stopped, then stop the SRM tomcat service;
  3. Start the SRM tomcat service.
  4. After 20 minutes (important), start CABI services ($CABIROOT/startServers.sh)

Additional Information

NOTE: In this scenario we had to wait for 20 minutes for the workaround to work. This time can vary depending on the environment.

If the problem remains despite implementing this workaround please contact the Broadcom Support Team for further assistance.
