Superseded patches are not being disabled

Issue/Introduction

We noticed that superseded patches are not being disabled.  Many updates have been superseded but they are still enabled in Patch Management.

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Patch Management 8.x

Resolution

Superseded updates do not automatically disable as this needs to be configured in the SMP Console as shown below:

Home > Patch Management > Settings (section) > MetaData Import Task > General (section) > Do not disable or delete superseded updates (select Edit)

NOTE: Select which applies to your needs under "Automatically disable or delete superseded updates" as show below
