Restored Librarian Master file getting 50A.O01: DATA SET SPECIFIED NOT ACCEPTABLE TO LIBRARIAN

Issue/Introduction

 Restored a Librarian Master file from the nightly ADRDSSU backups.   When the programmer tries to access the Master file using ELIPS, they get the following error: 

050A.O01: DATA SET SPECIFIED NOT ACCEPTABLE TO LIBRARIAN

Resolution

Due to the internal blocking structure of a Librarian master file using a non-Librarian utilities like ADRDSSU or FDR can corrupt the Master file & make it useless.   There is no way to fix the corrupted Master restored from the ADRDSSU backup. 

Using the Librarian backup and restore utilities is the only recommended method for backing up and restoring Librarian Master files.
