Using end-of-life Python 3.6.3 for Symantec VIP with Credential Provider for offline authentication

Issue/Introduction

Symantec VIP with Credential Provider 1.4 (offline authentication only) requires Python 3.6.3

Cause

Microsoft Credential Provider plugin 1.4 offline authentication option requires installing and configuring installation of Python 3.6.3, which has reached its end-of-life.

Resolution

Download and install\upgrade to MCP version 1.5. Python is no longer a required component for offline authentication.
