Issue/Introduction

In some cases users may need to disassociate their SAML implementation from Symantec Endpoint Security. How is this done, and what should be considered?

Release : 14.3 x

Resolution

This needs to be completed by the account owner, specifically the original Super Administrator for the account. Other super administrators may not see the option to switch access and authentication modes.

  1. In the SES console, browse to Settings and select Access and Authentication.
  2. In the dropdown, select Symantec Integrated Security.
  3. When prompted, choose to keep the existing accounts. This will allow users to still authenticate and login.

If a user is unable to reset or has forgotten their Broadcom Support Portal credentials, delete the existing account and recreate it. This will send an email with a link to setup the user account.
