vmware probe reports unexpected exception occured during data collction

Issue/Introduction

Can see below error message in logs 

error message: xxxxx is not responding (reason: unexpected exception occurred during data collection against datacollector for xxxxx)

 

Environment

Release : 20.4.x

robot 9.39HF1

vmware probe 7.21

esxi host 7.0 update 3

Windows Server 2019 Standard

Resolution

Can see below message repeating in the vmware probe debug logs

 Your vCenter collection level appears to be below the level required to collect all metrics. 
 Expected level is 3. If you're missing expected metrics please increase your vCenter collection level
 
 

So suggestion is to contact the vmware admin team about the Vcenter collection level
