MCS Group Precence Does not work in UIM 20.4 CU8 if enable_device_precdence = True

Issue/Introduction

MCS Group Precence Does not work in UIM 20.4 CU8 (mon_config_service 20.45) 

No matter if a group has higher precedence, the first group a device was added a profile it will remain. 

This occurs only when the the following key is set to TRUE enable_device_precdence = True

Attached to this KB there is a fix for this issue. mon_config_service 20.46T1

Please deploy to your primary hub. 

 

With "enable_device_precdence = True" this build of MCS will still respect the Group Priority. 

Please take into account, that, by design, the Priority is only honored when a priority greater than an existing one is found.
