Issue/Introduction

Does CA Service Desk Manager support:

1. SMB v3 instead of SMB v1 and V2?

2. Kerberos instead of NTLM v1 and V2?

Environment

CA Service Desk Manager, 17.3 and 17.4

Resolution

1. SMB v3 instead of SMB v1 and V2?

We do not support Server Message Block protocol in ITSM/CA Service Management. It is basically a response-request protocol. As such we do not see any use case out of the box to allow applications and their users to access files on the remote servers.

2. Kerberos instead of NTLM v1 and V2?

We currently do NOT support Kerberos however we would like to understand the requirements in further detail to consider adding this support in future releases.  If it is a requirement, please submit an idea to our feedback page, Communities.Broadcom.Com
