Different search results seen in SDM Knowledge Search, xFlow, and ServicePoint

CA Service Management - Service Desk Manager

Issue/Introduction

When performing searches in the following areas, we see inconsistent search results between:

  • SDM knowledge 
  • Xflow 
  • Service Point Search 

After trying:

  • pdm_k_reindex on SDM-Server
  • pdm_es_rebuild_index.bat on Searchserver
  • restarting of searchserver-service
  • delete ..elasticsearch-7.16.2\data\nodes\0\indices and created new index via pdm_es_rebuild_index.bat.

No similarities are seen in the results for the same search term

Environment

CA Service Management 17.3 RU23 and below

To be addressed in 17.4 RU1

Resolution

The following file needs to be updated

xFlow\APPS\Services\searchmicroservice-17.0.479\conf\application.conf

There are two places that need to be updated

1.  Under the section esearch.entity.kd

Add the following below "fields"

"minimum_should_match" : "50%%",

"analyzer" : "cat_analyzer"

2.  Under section searchQueryWithTenancy

Add the following below "fields"

"minimum_should_match" : "50%%",

"analyzer" : "cat_analyzer"

Example

A restart of the xFlow service is required after making the above changes.
