Issue/Introduction

Request for updated documentation on how to set up the HTML generated pages for dynamic download of the java client via a Browser to run -?
There is an existing old document that tries to explain the setup but its very old and still doesn't seem to match  (Plex Java for Dimwits (like me) 2^nd Edition) 

We have a Java dispatcher running under Tomcat and what we are trying to do is deploy the HTML pages to allow the display of  the client in a browser  - We can't seem to find much documentation on how to get that setup 

 

Environment

CA Plex 7.2.1 and higher

Resolution

The Applet support has been discontinued by major Web Browsers as they impose security vulnerabilities. We don't see much activity from other users on the Applet usage side. Modern OS/WebBrowsers don't allow applet usage and do not even work with Browser running in compatibility mode. We recommend avoiding Applet usage.
