Unable to Install Implementer 12.5 getting message “Not ready to install”

Issue/Introduction

As we are looking to install CM 12.5 in our dev environment, it says “Not ready to install”

We’ve verified that our  IBM I version is V7R4M0, which is supported by Implementer 12.5

Environment

Release : 8.7.3

Resolution

This is a known issue that impacts Implementer 12.4 and 12.5 installation on IBM i server with OS 7.4

The solution is to apply IBM PTF Sl73697 or any PTF that supersedes it. And then install Implementer again and this time the Select PTC Product panel will show Ready.
