Issue/Introduction

This article addresses the "Failed to deploy metadata configuration" error occurring during Connector Xpress 2.0 deployment, typically caused by missing default values for account templates.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

During the import of a metadata file, the provisioning server fails to create the namespace because a specific property (e.g., "Release 14.5") is marked as required but lacks a default value for the Account Template.

Resolution

  1. Identify the missing required property from the Identity Manager logs.
  2. Open the Connector Xpress 2.0 configuration.
  3. Locate the property marked as "Required."
  4. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Option A: Provide a default value for the Account Template for the required property.
    • Option B: Unmark the "Required" property constraint if it is not necessary for the configuration.
  5. Save the configuration and attempt the deployment again.
