Does the Data Center Security agent use SCHANNEL on Windows?

Issue/Introduction

 Would like to know if configuration changes made to the SChannel settings on a Windows machine will affect the DCS agent

Cause

SChannel SSP is an application programming interface(API) used by some applications in Windows for encrypted communications. Data Center Security agents do not use the SChannel APIs.

Resolution

Data Center Security agents use OpenSSL to directly connect with their managers.  They do not use the SChannel APIs.
