Issue/Introduction

Control Compliance Suite (CCS)

When running a query on a shared folder on a Windows Server, the CCS query is reporting that certain users have two results for the same shared folder.

Environment

Release: CCS 12.6.X

Cause

Users may have different ways of having access assigned to them for a shared folder on Windows (example: the user is directly assigned to the folder or a user might inherit permissions from a group, or both)

Resolution

Verify that the user is being directly assigned permissions to the shared folder, or if it is inheriting it from a group, or both.
