If TMSXTEND is used to extend the TMC and alphanumeric volsers are already being used, when do the old TMSXITE and TMSXITU modules have to be removed?

Issue/Introduction

 

If I convert to the new TMC format with TMSXTEND, when do the exits, TMSXITE and TMSXITU have to be removed?

 

 

 

Resolution

When the TMSXTEND is completed you can delete the TMSXITE and TMSXITU modules from the CTAPLINK library. In your TMOOPTxx member you can also set the XITE and XITU options to NONE for the next IPL.  With the next IPL they will be removed from the system. This does not have to be done immediately after the TMSXTEND.  Until then if you run TMSINIT the exits will be ignored.
