Issue/Introduction

What are the steps when moving the UIM Server (Primary hub) to a new server with the original name and IP?

Environment

Any UIM version

Resolution

1. Stop the Nimsoft Robot Watcher service on original server

2. Copy the Nimsoft directory to new server 

3. Copy the C:\Program Files\Zero G Registry folder to the new server

4. Shutdown the original server, Rename the new server with original name and set with original IP

5. RDP to the new server, open a command prompt as administrator and run below command to create the Nimsoft Robot Watcher service

    X:\Nimsoft\bin\nimbus.exe -servicename "NimbusWatcherService" -install

6. If UIM is configured with Windows Authentication, set the Nimsoft Robot Watcher Logon setting with the same user configured on the original UIM instance.

7. Restart the new server.

8. On the new server run the setupCAUIMServer.exe from the last UIM version that was installed on the original server.

    Example: UIM Server 20.4 - Cumulative Update 7, Cumulative Update 8.etc

9. The install is detected as an Upgrade. Complete the install.

10. Install the Infrastructure Manager thick client.
