soasmapi 12.52.0.11 not compatible with log4j2.x in WSS SDK

Issue/Introduction

When running soasmapi.jar, this one still reference log4j1.

When upgrading the jar to have log4j2 due to vulnerability issues, the soasmapi.jar can't initialize properly and the custom code returns:

   ERROR [java.io.IOException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.netegrity.tm.contenthelper.api.ContentHelperService]

 

Environment

  SDK Custom WSS SDK Agent 12.52SP1CR11 on Tomcat 9.0.62 on RedHat 7;

 

Resolution

12.52 version of agents use log4j1.x and are not certified for log4j2.x.

Consequently, this is not currently supported. Submit a certification request to enable the WSS SDK Agent to utilize log4j2. X (1).
