How to uninstall the Package Service

Issue/Introduction

I need to remove the Package Service from several Site Servers.

Environment

Release: 8.6 and 8.7

Resolution

Using the Symantec Management Console, go to: 

Settings>Notification Server>Site Server Settings>Site Servers

Click on the Site Server name from which you need to uninstall the Package Service (highlighted in blue in the left panel.

You will see the following:

In the middle panel, click on "Install/Remove services" in orange above. You will see the following pop-up.

Uncheck the "Package Service" box (in yellow above) click next and then confirm the changes.

This will take a while to happen.
