How to disable Bing Chat GPT on www.bing.com on Edge Secure Web Gateway?

Resolution

"Chat: If you want to guarantee Chat is turned off for all users on your network, in your router or proxy server map www.bing.com to nochat.bing.com. If you want to guarantee Chat is turned off for all users on your network plus all users are set to strict SafeSearch, in our router or proxy server map www.bing.com to nochatstrict.bing.com. The above settings will guarantee that strict SafeSearch results and/or Chat, as applicable, are returned or turned off for all queries to this IP and the SafeSearch controls are disabled. Similarly, mapping edgeservices.bing.com to the same subdomain forces the same policies in the Edge sidebar."

Edge SWG configuration:

1. Configure forwarding host in MC - SGAC - Configuration - Forwarding host 

a. Name: nochat

b. Host: nochat.bing.com

c. Check HTTP and enter 80 and HTTPS and enter 443

d. Click "Apply"

2. In VPM, create a forwarding layer and add a rule with the following attributes. 

a. Create a combined object on Destination box and add 2 Destination Host/Port object with below host. Ensure "Exact Match" is selected (selected by default)

www.bing.com

Combined object should look like the following 

b. On Action - Left click - Set - add a new "Select Forwarding" object. Give the object a name and move "nochat" (created above) to "Selected" and click Apply. 

Your finished forwarding rule should look like the following 

3. Push the policy out to the proxy and give it a go.
