Issue/Introduction
The issue with Altiris Express Service. Get warning in Windows Event Viewer: Warning, "Registry key NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation it not 0"
Environment
Release : 3.3
Cause
registry set to value other than default value of '0' for NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation
Resolution
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem.
3. Right-click NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation, and then click Modify.
4. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK
Note: The default value is 0.
5. Exit Registry Editor.
6. To make this registry change effective, restart the computer.
