Adding a Network Interface in Management Center Virtual Appliance

Issue/Introduction

Management Center Virtual Appliances (MC-VA) can support multiple network interfaces. By default, a newly deployed MC-VA has only one network interface (i.e. interface 0:0).

Resolution

To add another network interface to an MC VA, from VM Host: 

1. Power-off  the MC-VA
2. Add additional interface using the same network adapter type as the first interface on the VM host
3. Power-on the MC-VA

Additional Information

Backup MC and offload the backup to another file server (or download it to your desktop) before performing any maintenance on your MC.
