TSO Batch and CICS versions of the product installed into separate distribution and target zones

Issue/Introduction

When installing CA Pan/SQL for DB2, do the TSO Batch and CICS versions of the product have to be installed into separate distribution and target zones?

 

Environment

Pan/SQL 2.4C (0203)

Resolution

CA Pan/SQL TSO Batch and CA Pan/SQL CICS must be installed into separate distribution and target libraries.

The Batch and CICS versions of CA Pan/SQL have like-named modules which cannot be shared.

Per page 3-2 of the Getting Started Guide for CA Pan/SQL:

Note: If you are operating in TSO or batch only, you can omit the CICS installation without affecting the operation of CA Pan/SQL.

If you are operating in CICS, however, you must install both the CICS interface and the batch interface.
