What does the following message mean and how is the error resolved:

    CAL2E002E UNABLE TO RESOLVE ESERVER NAME FUNC=INITAPI 
    RC=-00000001 REA=00001011
    CAL2E007E EMAIL,ESERVER= IS REQUIRED

Resolution

To be able to use the E-MAIL feature (SMTP protocol),the Acid associated to the CA 7 STC is required to have an OMVS segment defined.

In the CA 7 init-deck, the relevant statement and its parameter is specified as:

    EMAIL,ESERVER=smtp.server.name 

Where smtp.server.name must be the real TCP/IP smtp server name or address.
