Transferring PDSE's From ISPF with TYPE=EXECUTE Using CA XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Batch jobs to transfer PDSE library files using TYPE=EXECUTE are successful, but when submitting the same transfers from the online ISPF interface, the transfers fail with:

XCOMM0049E XCOM IS NOT APF AUTHORIZED - PDSE TRANSFERS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE
XCOMM0115E ERROR UNLOADING TO TEMPFILE FOR PROG LIBRARY

Resolution

Perform the following steps to transfer PDSE's when specifying Queue for Execution (Y/N): N on the CA XCOM panels:

1. Add XCOMJOB to AUTHPGM and AUTHTSF tables in IKJTSO00 in the PARMLIB.
2. Add the XCOMPRNT DD to the TSO logon procedure with TERM=TS or allocate it from inside TSO prior to starting the CA XCOM panels.
