idash upgrade creating multiple backup folder

Issue/Introduction

During the upgrade process, idash takes a backup of the existing idash. Under the backup folder, I can see a folder with today’s date and inside that folder, there is another backup folder again, and inside that folder another backup folder with today's date. This pattern keeps on going and at least 100+ duplication folders are created. How do I prevent this from happening?

On the Windows server where iDash resides go to the following directory path C:\Program Files\CA\idash\.install4j

In the response.varfile change the c\: drive from lowercase to uppercase save the file. Then delete the backup folder and rerun the upgrade installation again.
