Issue/Introduction

We have already discovered some devices (some Nokia 7750 service routers) which has both ipv6 & ipv4 interfaces.

We would like to know how to show this segregated information for the interfaces separately in an "on demand report" in DX NetOps Performance Management

Below OIDs belong to IPv4/IPv6 traffic as per the vendor.

TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB

1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.54.1.46            vRtrIfTxV4Pkts
1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.54.1.49            vRtrIfTxV4Bytes

1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.54.1.52            vRtrIfTxV6Pkts
1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.54.1.55            vRtrIfTxV6Bytes

Environment

Release : 22.2

Cause

- Following the steps on next knowledge document it is possible to confirm that the MIB objects or OIDs are supported in DX NetOps Performance Management with Alcatel Virtual Interface Vendor Certification (VC)

MIB Object Support

Resolution

1. Create a Custom Collection and add the device to it.

2. Copy the "Network Interface" Monitoring Profile and add the "Virtual Interface" Metric Family to it

3. Associate the new Monitoring Profile created in 2 to the Custom Collection created in 1.

4. Wait for the data to be collected, and create an On demand report with some of the interfaces, adding some of the IPv4/IPv6 metrics available

5. Run the on demand report

6. The above report only contains IPv4 metrics, but the "Virtual Interface" metric family (MF) also include IPv6 metrics as shown below
