Issue/Introduction

I'm looking to get more info on how the Alert Central host environment works within OPS/MVS. More specifically how the UPDATE action works with filters. The OPS/MVS doc has me believe that an update with filters is possible so just wanting to see if there are any restrictions as we haven’t been able to successfully issue it against status updates.

Resolution

Alert Central requires the alertId for UPDATE requests.  The FILTER parameter on the ADDRESS AC command is intended for QUERY requests only.  Both OPS/MVS and Alert Central Connector should reject parameters that are not supported by the requested function/action.
