Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to create an ISV-SCRT report using the Windows version of the ISV-SCRT tool using the record format of SMF data (Type 70, 89) extracted from the z/OS 1.10 environment?

Note: The Common services did not install on z/OS 1.10.

Resolution

Yes, the Windows version of the ISV-SCRT tool can be used to generate an ISV SCRT report using SMF data extracted from an old z/OS system.

However, because Common Services 15.0 does not support z/OS 1.10 and cannot run, you will not have accurate products being reported on because the ability to create the required SMF 89-2 records is not there. But the ISV SCRT report can still be submitted for system usage data.
