Issue/Introduction

Environment:

Autosys 12.0 SP1 cum3 on Linux

# autoflags -a

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6 (Ootpa)

Using Database MSSQL Server 2019 running on Windows server 2019 data center.

Query

Is TLS1.2 supported for connection to DB server from WCC or Autosys scheduler?

 

Environment

Autosys 12.0 SP1 cum3 on Linux

Resolution

If you enable TLS 1.2 then the following will work in Autosys 12.0 SP1 with some configuration settings

1. Scheduler

2. Application server

3. Web services

The following scripts will not work out of the box

1. RefreshAEDB

2. CreateAEDB,

3. ReindexDB

4. autoBCP

Additionally, the patch installers also may not work .

So it is our recommendation to wait for Autosys 12.1 SP1. The product documentation will also contain the steps required to support TLS 1.2 with MSSQL.
